SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- A Rubik's Cube tribute honoring the late Robin Williams was put up for auction by its creator, Pete Fecteau, on eBay and all proceeds from the sale will go to charity.

Fecteau, a Bay Area-based artist, is best known for his mosaics made with the famous 3D toys. His tribute for the late actor, titled "Goofball," consist of 600 Rubik's Cubes that make up the face and shoulders of the actor. According to ABC13, it took Fecteau, and an apprentice, nine hours to put it together.

"Goofball" is currently selling for $4,450 on eBay and the auction will end Tuesday at 8 a.m. Poceeds from the auction will be split between the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Fecteau said the idea of creating the tribute came to him when the cubes made their way to his house on the day of Wiliam's death. The actor committed suicide by hanging on August 12. He was 63.

"700 Rubik's Cubes showed up on my doorstep the same day we lost Robin Williams, so I put two and two together and said 'hey I want build something out of these Rubik's Cubes for Robin Williams in his memory."' Fecteau said of the tribute.
