Kim Kardashian has suffered fresh embarrassment at the hands of a magazine after she was denied access to Vanity Fair’s Oscars party on Sunday.
The 33-year-old reality star was reportedly ‘desperate’ to attend the A list event – particularly following her failure to land a Vogue cover shoot – but reportedly had her request for an invitation unceremoniously dismissed.
‘Kim had been hoping to get an invite to the Vanity Fair party. It’s the hottest party during the entire award season and Kim desperately wanted to go,’ a source close to Kardashian explained.
‘Kim’s camp had made inquiries to the Vanity Fair party host Graydon Carter about whether she’d make the list. He never got back to her people! It wasn’t ever going to ever happen,’ they went on.
‘Everyone knows Vanity Fair is strictly A-list only, which means, no reality stars. It would have been a circus if Kim along with her mom and sisters went to the party. Graydon would have gotten nothing but grief from actors that didn’t get an invite!’ they told RadarOnline.
Kim, her sisters Kourtney, Khloe and their mother Kris Jenner instead attended Elton John’s Aids Foundation bash after the film event.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Kardashian’s younger half-sister Kendall Jenner became the belle of Paris Fashion Week as she walked the catwalk for Chanel.
The 18-year-old model – who is the daughter of Kim’s mother Kris and former Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner – walked behind Cara Delevingne leaving many to speculate she will land the coveted Vogue cover over ‘desperate’ Kim.
