PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Netflix says it has ordered a second 10-episode season of its historical adventure series Marco Polo.

Set in 13th-century China, the drama stars Lorenzo Richelmy as the titular hero. The cast also includes Benedict Wong, Joan Chen, Zhu Zhu, Chin Han, Olivia Cheng, Tom Wu, Remy Hii, Uli Latukefu, Mahesh Jadu, Claudia Kim and Rick Yune.

"Creator John Fusco'’s tale of Marco'’s journey will continue for 10 all-new episodes as Marco navigates Kublai Khan’'s world of greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry," a synopsis said.
